Rochon was raised in Torrance. Rochon was born to Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) and Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). Cerritos was her primary high school. Ullerup was Julia Brynn in the 2006 remake of Battlestar Galactica, which was airing through the Sci Fi Channel. The actress was Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the TV show Sanctuary up until her role was cut from the script. Many fans wanted her back even though the show had been removed from the air. Ullerup appeared in Chesapeake Shores as Bree O'Brien. Ullerup was Maggie Thomas, the estranged wife to Michael Thomas, in the film about the disaster Asteroid: Final Impact (2015). Ullerup's recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series has been Dale Travers since 2016.
